Our experience ranges in size from the removal of a basement column to the full structural design of a 40,000 square foot custom home.  Our experience ranges in age from the renovation of a historic residence constructed in the 1600’s to new construction designed to the most recent building codes.  The majority of our work includes the structural design of new high-end residential homes in and near coastal flood zones.  Our homes are typically designed using wood-framed construction, steel support and/or elevated concrete decks when necessary, and concrete foundations on gravel or prepared soils.  We have relationships with geotechnical engineers and civil engineers to design homes in more complicated areas such as flood zones, on piles, or overhanging ledge cliffs.  We have provided structural support for hundreds of new and existing homes in southern New England and New York.
